Requirements
Personal Presentation
- Ensuring that ones personal demeanour, attitudes and interactions are at all times professional and in Line with An Bord Altranais Guidelines and scope of practice
- Adherence to An Bord Altranais Code of Practice
- Presented in the full company uniform at all times
- Maintaining a high level of personal hygiene
- Presented in Personal protective Equipment (PPE) when required
- Practicing and promoting Nursing home guidelines on hand washing and Infection Control to protect oneself and others
- Adherence to guidelines on Absenteeism Lateness and sickness
Resident Care
- Assessing, Planning, Implementing and evaluating nursing care
- Prioritising care needs of residents while ensuring care is individualised
- Assisting in Managing the nursing home environment so that it is conducive to meeting the physical, psychological and social needs of residents
- Preparing and Administrating Drugs in line with Company policy and ‘An Bord Altranais’ guidelines
- Ensuring residents hygiene/personal care needs are maintained to the highest standards while maintaining the residents dignity at all time
- Assisting in the safekeeping of residents valuables
- Providing Palliative care for dying residents and support for their relatives
Performance Management
- Leading by example and demonstrating a strong ‘team ethos’ being positive and motivational at all times
- Conducting induction and sign off for new employees
- Planning and allocating daily tasks for care and support staff in a fair and consistent manner
- Encouraging, training and guiding team while maintaining a happy environment
- Participating in Staff Appraisals while continually assessing the performance of all employees
- Addressing with out delay any issues or allegations
