About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Staff Nurse to join home in Carechoice Montenotte. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidates to be an integral part of CareChoice’s strategic vision and to progress their career in an innovative, professional and caring environment.

Requirements

Personal Presentation

  • Ensuring that ones personal demeanour, attitudes and interactions are at all times professional and in Line with An Bord Altranais Guidelines and scope of practice
  • Adherence to An Bord Altranais Code of Practice
  • Presented in the full company uniform at all times
  • Maintaining a high level of personal hygiene
  • Presented in Personal protective Equipment (PPE) when required
  • Practicing and promoting Nursing home guidelines on hand washing and Infection Control to protect oneself and others
  • Adherence to guidelines on Absenteeism Lateness and sickness

Resident Care

  • Assessing, Planning, Implementing and evaluating nursing care
  • Prioritising care needs of residents while ensuring care is individualised
  • Assisting in Managing the nursing home environment so that it is conducive to meeting the physical, psychological and social needs of residents
  • Preparing and Administrating Drugs in line with Company policy and ‘An Bord Altranais’ guidelines
  • Ensuring residents hygiene/personal care needs are maintained to the highest standards while maintaining the residents dignity at all time
  • Assisting in the safekeeping of residents valuables
  • Providing Palliative care for dying residents and support for their relatives

Performance Management

  • Leading by example and demonstrating a strong ‘team ethos’ being positive and motivational at all times
  • Conducting induction and sign off for new employees
  • Planning and allocating daily tasks for care and support staff in a fair and consistent manner
  • Encouraging, training and guiding team while maintaining a happy environment
  • Participating in Staff Appraisals while continually assessing the performance of all employees
  • Addressing with out delay any issues or allegations
