About the Role

Corlann Disability Services is recruiting a Staff Nurse to join its services in Knocknacarra and Galway City. This permanent, whole-time nursing opportunity is suited to a Registered Intellectual Disability Nurse who wants to contribute to high-quality, person-centred supports for people with disabilities in the Galway area.

Role Overview

The Staff Nurse will work as part of the Corlann Disability Services team, contributing professional nursing knowledge, clinical care and person-centred support within disability services. The role offers an opportunity to support individuals in achieving positive health, wellbeing and quality-of-life outcomes while working collaboratively with colleagues, families and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Provide safe, professional and person-centred nursing care within disability services.
Support individuals in accordance with their assessed needs, personal plans and agreed care arrangements.
Monitor health and wellbeing needs and contribute to appropriate nursing assessments and interventions.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues, service teams, families and other relevant professionals.
Maintain accurate nursing and service records in accordance with professional and organisational requirements.
Promote dignity, independence, inclusion and meaningful participation for people using the service.
Contribute to safe practice, quality improvement and the effective delivery of services.

Requirements

Applicants should meet the professional registration, qualification and eligibility requirements applicable to the Staff Nurse — Intellectual Disability grade. Candidates should also have the communication, teamwork and clinical skills required to deliver safe and person-centred nursing support within a disability services environment.
