About the Role
Corlann, formerly known as Brothers of Charity Services Ireland, is seeking a Staff Nurse/Enhanced Nurse for their Orchard Adult Services in Gort, Co. Galway. The role involves supporting adults with intellectual disabilities in various settings, including residential, day, and community services. The successful candidate will assist in developing person-centred plans, promoting independence, and encouraging community participation. Requirements
Qualified nurse registered with NMBI, with a current Live Register Certificate from the NMBI (An Bord Altranais), RNID or RGN qualification. A full clean manual driving licence is essential. Experience in intellectual disability nursing is desirable. Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills are required. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team and requires flexibility and adaptability.
Details
Location: Orchard Adult Services, Gort, Co. Galway. The role is based on a 14-day/night duty roster, with 75 hours per fortnight. The salary is €38,166–€56,592 per year, with additional payments for weekends, public holidays, and night duty. A location allowance of €2,637 per annum may also be paid. The role includes 24 days of annual leave, with additional service-related leave after 5 and 10 years. A probationary period of nine months applies.
