About the Role
Avista is a person-centred, rights-based organisation that is dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities. We provide a wide range of services including Day, Residential and Respite supports to both children and adults in various locations across Dublin, Limerick and North Tipperary.
Avista is looking for candidates who are committed to supporting people with Intellectual Disabilities and their families, in a person-centred, community based, socially inclusive manner in accordance with our core values and ethos and underpinned by quality, best practice and research.
We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who are committed to supporting children with disabilities and their families, in a child and family centred, community based, socially inclusive manner in accordance with our core values and ethos and underpinned by quality, best practice and research. This post will include working as part of a team and working varied hours to a day and night roster as this service operates 7 days a week.
Requirements
Essential:
- Experience in working with children with complex needs and their families
- Have up to date NMBI Registration.
- Full clean manual Irish driving licence.
- Proficiency in the English language.
Desirable:
- Have proven organizational, communication, interpersonal and team working skills.
- Be committed to pro-actively supporting children in their daily living activities and provide choices and learning opportunities through a child-centered approach.
- Have an organizational commitment to implement Avista core values and vision.
- Have previous experience of working with children with a dual diagnosis.
- Applications welcomed by pre-registered nurses.
