Eligibility Criteria:
- Essential: Be registered in the live Register of Nurses kept by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland, have the clinical and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role, evidence of ongoing professional development, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Essential: Be registered in the Intellectual Disability Nurse Division of the live Register of Nurses kept by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
- Experience: Three years post-registration, at least 18 months in ICU/ED/Neurological Disability setting, experience working in the social care setting, experience working with the person with Intellectual Disability, and experience working in a lone working environment.
- Other: Strong understanding of the Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act, knowledge of Irish Healthcare, and passion to work as a nurse in a social care setting.

- To co-operate and share responsibilities for the continuing care needs of the Residents, assume a supervisory role in the absence of the CNM, be involved in the referral of Residents to members of the Multi Disciplinary Team/GP/Primary Health Care Teams, liaise with all other outside agencies of which the Residents are linked to, attend all hospital and GP appointments which require a nursing input, and overall medication management.
