About the Role

We are seeking a caring, motivated, and dependable Support Worker to join our Independent Living Unit team. This role focuses on supporting adults to live as independently as possible in a community-based setting, while promoting dignity, inclusion, and personal autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support that promotes independence and dignity.
- Assist with daily living tasks, personal care, and household activities as outlined in support plans.
- Offer emotional support and companionship, encouraging community involvement and social connections.
- Administer medication safely and document all care provided using the required systems.
- Contribute to developing and reviewing individual support plans and act as Key Worker when needed.
- Support residents with budgeting, banking, and maintaining everyday living skills.
- Accompany individuals on holidays or outings when required.
- Work flexibly, use initiative, and maintain positive relationships with families, services, and professionals.
- Help ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient running of the home.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a residential care setting, ideally in a senior/team leader role
- QQI Level 5 Social Care Worker/QQI Level 5 Healthcare
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings if required.
