About the Role
Support Worker (12 hours per week) in Ashford, Co. Wicklow. Permanent, Flexi Part Time. €16.05 - 20.14 p/h.
Autism A Chara provides specialist autism services for adults across our Residential, Respite, Day, and Community Support Services. We are looking for a Support Worker who can learn about the needs of the people we support, adapt their communication style, be fun and engaging, assist with daily living activities, support community engagement, help learn new skills, and support understanding of rights and decision-making.
Requirements
Essential criteria for the position of Support Worker:
- A full QQI level 5 major award in Health/Care is essential
- Awareness of Key Worker/ Support Worker Role and philosophy surrounding support to people with complex needs
- Programme Planning Person Centred Plans
- Availability to work shifts on a rota basis including evenings and weekends and waking night duty shifts
- Full, clean Irish drivers licence (manual) essential with requirement to drive service vehicles
- Permission to work in Ireland essential
- Fluent English and excellent communication skills
