About the Role
Corlann, the new name for Brothers of Charity Services Ireland, is seeking Support Workers for permanent, full-time and part-time positions in Ballinasloe, County Galway. The role involves supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in all aspects of daily living, promoting independence, and assisting with personal care. The Support Worker will work within residential or day settings and may be required to work evenings, weekends, and occasional split duty hours, including sleep-ins and night duty. The successful candidate will be part of a team focused on creating a place of belonging and empowering individuals to achieve their life goals.
Requirements
Candidates must have a good general education. A recognised qualification in the field of intellectual disability or a FETAC level 5 course is an advantage. A QQI Level 5 or higher is desirable. A full clean manual driving licence is essential, and proficiency in I.T. skills is required. Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, autism, or complex needs is beneficial but not essential, as induction and training will be provided. Fluency in verbal and written English is an essential requirement. Flexibility, team-working skills, patience, and a sense of humour are also important.

Location: Deerpark Adult Services, Ballinasloe, County Galway. The role involves working in either residential or day settings, with the possibility of location changes due to future service needs.
Salary: €34,881–€48,434 per year, based on a 39-hour working week. Additional payments will be made for weekends, public holidays, sleepovers, and night duty when worked.
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time and Part-Time.
Tenure: 3 posts are Permanent Full-Time and Pensionable, 1 post is Permanent Part-Time and Pensionable.

Annual Leave: 23 days per annum (pro-rata for part-time).
Probation: A probationary period of nine months from the date of appointment applies to the post.
