About the Role
The focus of this role will be to support an individual to realise their vision to leading a good life through Person Centred approaches in line with personal interests, skills, will and preference. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supporting individuals to develop valued social roles and also have experience in supporting individuals with communication needs and those who may display behaviours of concern and will have experience of person centred planning and knowledge of person directed and individualised support approaches.
Requirements
- FETAC/ QQI Level 5 (Major Award) in Healthcare or equivalent (e.g. Health Service Skills, Healthcare Support) or willingness to undertake a relevant QQI Level 5 Major Award.
- Ability to use own initiative and plan effectively.
- Experience/knowledge of supporting persons with a range of support needs.
- A valid licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong initiative and creativity.
- Flexibility and willing to undertake roster covering various houses/locations.
- Suitability as outlined in the introduction to the role.
