We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Respite Support Worker to join our team in CHO8 Children Services. This post will involve week day/ after school hours and weekend work.
Contract Type: 12 month Fixed Term Contract
Contract Hours: 23.4 hours per week (0.60 WTE)
Salary Scale: €35,070 - €42,440 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments). This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 30 days pro rata per annum
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Essential Criteria:
- Possess a formal qualification in Health Care including FETAC/QQI Level 5 NVQ /City and Guilds.
- At least 1 year experience of working with children.
- Experience of working in a disability service.
- Full manual Driving license and access to own transport.
- Must have a right to work in the country
- Desirable Criteria:
- Experience of working and engaging with children with disabilities.
- Current Back Care & Patient Handling Training.
- Current First Aid Course.
- Experience of working in respite services
