About the Role

We provide a wide range of services including Day, Residential and Respite supports to both children and adults in various locations across Dublin, Limerick and North Tipperary.
Avista is looking for candidates who are committed to supporting people with Intellectual Disabilities and their families, in a person-centred, community based, socially inclusive manner in accordance with our core values and ethos and underpinned by quality, best practice and research.
We are seeking a Therapy Assistant (MDT) for St. Vincent’s Centre, Limerick. This is a permanent full-time contract (39 hours per week).
Requirements
Essential:
- Full FETAC 5 QQI award healthcare qualification
- Full clean manual Irish driving licence and use of a car
- Proficiency in the English language
Desirable:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Ability to effectively manage time, work on own initiative, and as part of a team
- Interest and experience in working with adults with intellectual, physical and sensory disabilities (with or without a diagnosis of autism) and/or behaviours that challenge
- Level 1 behavioral competencies of Avista competency framework as set out in the job description
