The Advanced Nurse Practitioner Candidate (Bladder Cancer) role at Cork University Hospital offers a valuable opportunity to develop advanced clinical expertise within a specialist oncology setting. This permanent wholetime position supports the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care while progressing towards full Advanced Nurse Practitioner status. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on improving outcomes for patients with bladder cancer.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced clinical nursing care to patients with bladder cancer
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in line with best practice
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated patient care
- Support patient education, advocacy and health promotion initiatives
- Participate in clinical audits, research and service development
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
- Work towards achieving Advanced Nurse Practitioner competency requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Relevant postgraduate qualification or working towards ANP requirements
- Experience in oncology or urology nursing desirable
- Strong clinical decision-making and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary scale: €71,432 – €80,671 per annum (in line with HSE pay scales)
Permanent Wholetime position
