Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage infection prevention and control services across the hospital
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce healthcare-associated infections
- Ensure compliance with national AMRIC (Antimicrobial Resistance and Infection Control) programme standards
- Provide expert guidance and leadership to multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor infection control performance and implement continuous improvement measures
- Support staff education and training in infection prevention practices
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to maintain high standards of patient safety
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Significant experience in infection prevention and control within a healthcare setting
- Proven leadership and management experience at senior nursing level
- Strong knowledge of AMRIC guidelines and healthcare standards
- Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field is desirable
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary scale: €72,122 – €89,004 per annum (pro-rata for part-time), depending on experience and point on the scale.
