Catering Assistant in Limerick

About the Role

St. John’s Hospital, Limerick is seeking a Catering Assistant for a permanent or temporary, whole-time or part-time, pensionable position. The role involves assisting in the delivery of a high-quality, patient-focused, cost-effective, and safe catering service. The hospital is a Section 38, Voluntary Hospital founded in 1780 and provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including general medicine, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, and endoscopy services. It also has an Urgent Care Centre incorporating a Local Injuries Unit and Medical Assessment Unit.

Requirements

Fluent English is required. The post holder will report directly and be accountable to the Catering Officer and in his/her absence the Catering Supervisor and Chef I/II (where appropriate). Key responsibilities include reporting for duty on time, taking direction from management, facilitating good industrial relations, recognizing the needs and importance of patient services, and adhering to food hygiene and health & safety legislation.

Salary: €36,407–€44,087 per year.
