About the Role

Clinical Nurse Manager 3 in County Donegal, within the Integrated Healthcare Area Donegal, which delivers Primary Care, Social Inclusion, Social Care, Mental Health and Health & Wellbeing Services through the HSE and its funded agencies.

The role involves:

• Demonstrating depth and breadth of experience in a broad range of Disability services.
• Implementing and sustaining Best Practice Guidelines in Disability relevant to the role.
• Participating in the local Quality & Patient Safety committee and collaborating with committee members on quality initiatives.
• Assisting in the service Mandatory Training programme, which may include delivering specific training or identifying service training deficits for the local Quality & Patient Safety Committee.
• Travelling between a number of different locations as the post requires access to appropriate transport.

Requirements

Eligible applicants must:

• Be registered in the relevant division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or entitled to be so registered.
• Have at least 5 years post-registration experience in the Disability Sector, of which 3 years must be at a management level.
• Demonstrate clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to discharge the functions of the role.
• Provide evidence of continuous professional development.
• Possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and clinical, managerial and administrative capacity.
• Be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health indicating a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
• Be of good character.

On appointment, practitioners must:

• Maintain live annual registration on the relevant division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the NMBI.
• Confirm annual registration with NMBI to the HSE via the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
