We are looking for a Facilitator who can:

• Learn about me: what I need and what is important to me
• Adapt their communication style to suit my needs
• Be fun and engaging as well as having patience and being kind
• Assist with daily living activities and routines including personal care
• Support me to engage in my community
• Help me learn new skills
• Support me to understand my rights and help me make my own decisions

Requirements

Essential criteria for the position of Facilitator:

• A full QQI level 5 major award in Health/Care is essential
• Awareness of Key Worker/ Support Worker Role and philosophy surrounding support to people with complex needs
• Programme Planning Person Centred Plans
• Availability to work shifts on a rota basis
• Full, clean Irish drivers licence desirable with requirement to drive service vehicles
• Permission to work in Ireland essential

Qualifications required for a Facilitator:

• A full QQI level 5 Health Care Qualification is essential, (e.g. health, community, care sector) but a genuine passion for providing person centred support is key to being successful in the role of a Facilitator. Who We Are

We initially opened our doors in 2005 as part of a strategic partnership with Autism Initiatives UK. Recently we have decided to make the significant change to operate as a solely run, Irish charity independent of the UK. Although this partnership has come to an end, we are delighted with what we have achieved so far and we are very excited at what the future holds for Autism A Chara.

We will continue to provide specialist autism services for adults across our Residential, Respite, Day, and Community Support Services.

Our aim is to positively work alongside autistic people, their families and carers in providing specialist individually tailored services for all to enjoy. In recent years we have successfully expanded our services throughout Dublin, Kildare, Wexford and Wicklow and continue to seek out opportunities where we can offer assistance and value.

Given the significant role our team play in the lives of those we support our recruitment is focused on individuals willing to go the extra mile. Whether it’s helping the people we support to live independently, enjoy a better quality of life, or play a more active role in their communities our team always strives to deliver the best service possible.
