About the Role

Corlann is seeking Staff Nurses/Enhanced Nurses for permanent and temporary full-time positions in Gort, Co. Galway. The role involves providing community-based, person-centred services to adults with intellectual disabilities. Staff Nurses and Enhanced Staff Nurses fulfil a key worker supportive and advocative role, focusing on each individual’s ability and promoting independence and development of skills. They assist people with the development of person-centred plans and support them to make informed choices and fulfil their potential. The role requires flexibility in working hours, including days, evenings, weekends, public holidays, and night duty.

Requirements

Candidates must have a current Live Register Certificate from the NMBI (An Bord Altranais), RNID or RGN qualification. A full clean manual Driving Licence is essential. Experience with intellectual disability nursing and an appreciation of the responsibilities of the post is desirable. Skills required include good judgement, discretion, confidentiality, effective communication, creative problem-solving, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Details

Location: Gort, Co. Galway. The posts are Permanent/Temporary and Pensionable. The salary for Staff Nurse is €38,166–€54,956 per annum with a Long Service Increment of €56,592 per annum. The salary for Enhanced Nurse is €45,259–€56,762 per annum with a Long Service Increment of €58,424 per annum. A probationary period of nine months applies.
