About the Role
Staff Nurse, Staff Bank, Mental Health
HSE Dublin and South East has been formed as part of the Slaintecare programme. The health region is responsible for the delivery of acute and community healthcare across South Dublin, Wicklow, Wexford, Waterford, Carlow, Kilkenny and South Tipperary.
We offer a flexible working arrangement with an Hours as Required contract through Staff Bank. We seek caring, compassionate, committed, competent, adaptable and reliable individuals to apply for our Nursing positions in Mental Health Services. We are offering Hours as Required contract type. An 'Hours as Required Contract' may suit individuals that are seeking flexible work arrangements.

1. Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc
(a) Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:
(i) Be registered in the Psychiatric Division of the Register of Nurses kept the Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann (Nursing Midwifery Board Ireland)
And
(b) Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, (including a high standard of clinical and administrative capacity), for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
2. Annual registration
(i) On appointment, practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the Psychiatric Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann).
And
(ii) And Practitioners must confirm annual registration with the NMBI to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
3. Age
Age restriction shall only apply to a candidate where s/he is not classified as a new entrant (within the meaning of the Public Service Superannuation (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 2004). A candidate who is not classified as new entrant must be under 68 years of age on the first day of the month in which the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the office occurs.
4. Health
Candidates for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
5. Character
Candidates for and any person holding the office must be of good character.

Other specific requirements
Available to commence employment within 60 days of receipt of the formal offer of employment is desirable.
