Sligo University Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse (Children) to join its paediatric care team. Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care to children and young people
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised patient care

- Support and educate families on treatment plans and care needs
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and HSE guidelines
- Promote a child-centred approach to care at all times
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with registration in the Children’s Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Strong clinical knowledge in paediatric nursing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Previous experience in a paediatric setting is desirable
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary scale ranges from €37,788 to €56,032 per annum, depending on experience and service level.
This is a permanent whole-time position with standard HSE working hours and shift patterns.
