Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join its Endoscopy Unit. Job Overview

The Staff Nurse Endoscopy will participate in the delivery of pre, peri and post procedure nursing services within the Endoscopy Unit. The role involves managing patient care, supporting clinical standards, and working collaboratively under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager to ensure excellence in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality pre, peri and post procedure nursing care within the Endoscopy Unit.
Manage and coordinate patient care to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.
Support the Clinical Nurse Manager in maintaining a safe and effective care environment.
Ensure compliance with national policies, protocols and clinical guidelines.
Monitor and maintain high standards of healthcare delivery and patient safety.
Develop clinical expertise, leadership and teaching skills through professional practice.
Promote ethical and professional standards in all aspects of nursing care.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Registered General Nurse with active registration on the appropriate division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Demonstrated interest or experience in Endoscopy nursing (desirable).
Strong clinical assessment and patient care management skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Commitment to continuous professional development.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary aligned with the HSE Staff Nurse (General) Grade 2135 pay scale in accordance with Department of Health Circular 6/2025.
Permanent part-time contract.
